Loch Long One-Design

Le voilier Loch Long One-Design est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Robertson and Caine en Afrique du sud. Ce voilier Quille fixe, gréé en Sloop fractionné, réalisé par l'architecte naval James Croll avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 0.90 m. La production a démarré en 1938. 138 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

Présentation

Commissioned by members of Loch Long Sailing Club (Scotland) to mark the coronation of George VI.
Originally called CORONATION ONE DESIGN.
Based on the STJÄRNBÅT of Norway, (with counter added).
Originally sailed on Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde.
Fleets still sailing at Cove Sailing Club and Aldeburgh Yacht Club (Scotland).
It is said that around 70 still exist.
