Ss Class

Le voilier Ss Class est construit par Benjamin Hallock en États-Unis. Ce monocoque, gréé en Sloop aurique, réalisé par l'architecte naval Benjamin Hallock, mesure 5.02 m de long avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 0.84 m. La production a démarré en 1909. 150 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

Présentation

Native to the Long Island South Shore,(US East Coast) the first dozen boats were built by the designer. Later boats came from a number of other builders. Presumably the name came from the designer, but no one seems to know what it stands for. A relatively large number of these boats are still sailing making this one of oldest existing classes in America.
