Buzzards Bay 15

Le voilier Buzzards Bay 15 est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Herreshoff en États-Unis. Ce voilier Dérive pivotante, gréé en Sloop aurique, réalisé par l'architecte naval Nathaniel G. Herreshoff avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 1.68 m. La production a démarré en 1899 et s'est terminée en 1928. 92 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

Présentation

The first 11 were built for members of Beverly Yacht Club, MA (USA).
There was another version called the NEWPORT 15 (1899) with deeper fixed keel.
WATCH HILL 15 (1922), updated by Sidney Herreshoff.
Thanks to Jim Reineck for providing corrected information.
According to him, over 30 of the original boats survive, with more than 50 replicas (in fiberglass and wood).
