Luders 16

Le voilier Luders 16 est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Luders Marine Construction en États-Unis. Ce voilier Quille fixe, gréé en Sloop fractionné, réalisé par l'architecte naval A. E. Luders avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 1.22 m. La production a démarré en 1933. 220 exemplaires du bateau ont été produits.

Présentation

The very first boats (14) were of conventional planked construction from the Luders Yard for the Fishers Island YC. Most of these were destroyed in a hurricane after the very first year. After World War II orders came, first from the Chicago YC, for a new version, built of molded plywood. It is thought more than 100 of these were built. In the 1960's and 70's, a fiberglass version was built by International Plastics Corporation, then by Midwest Marine and Easterly Yachts.
