Ocean 71

Le voilier Ocean 71 est un monocoque habitable de croisière, construit par le chantier Southern Ocean en Royaume-Uni. Ce voilier Quille fixe, gréé en Ketch en tête, réalisé par l'architecte naval E. G. Van de Stadt avec un tirant d'eau maximum de 2.51 m. La production a démarré en 1970.

Based on the famed ocean racer STORMVOGEL (1969).
Offered as a racing yacht or luxury cruiser.
An extremely successful model with more than 20 built.
A few were finished by Camper & Nicholson.
'Ocean Spirit', (with Robin Knox-Johnson & Leslie Williams as crew), won the double-handed Around Britain race in 1970.
Another OCEAN 71 was owned by Graham Kerr, known, at the time on TV, (in both the UK and USA) as the 'Galloping Gourmet'.vds design #194.
